Must try HALAL brunch cafe in Melbourne! Albertchino Cafe This Middle Eastern fusion brunch cafe serves up 100% Halal brunch menus, pastries, and delicious wraps and roti. The coffee and chai are brewed strongly, with a lovely aroma and flavour. Featured in video Knefeh french toast ($25) Mobster board ($24) Mango passion smoothie ($10) Chai latte ($5) Croffin ($8.90) Cinnamon scroll ($9.50) Card surcharge 1.3% (weekends only) Knefeh french toast was flavourful and fragrant with the rose syrup, and well balanced sweetness. The cold ice cream on top of hot french toast had a nice contrast and combination of texture and flavour! It was topped with plenty of fresh berries. Mobster board was such a dreamy brunch! It has all the brunch classics; scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, sausages, hash browns and even halloumi cheese! The tomato relish and labneh dips added a new dimension of flavour, and I loved the creamy texture. Coffee and chai latte were brewed with a strong flavour, and aroma and I could smell it as it was arriving the table. It goes really well with the pastries. I got a recommendation from the friendly staff for the pastries, and ended up with a fluffy croffin and a cinnamon scroll. I particularly enjoyed the cinnamon scroll especially with the light and rich cream on top. Growing up with many Muslim friends, I've always been aware of the distinction between a Halal eatery, and a place that "just doesn't serve pork and alcohol". Instead of a trendy diet or flavour, Halal is a dietary law to be strictly adhered to, following strict guidelines around humane slaughter in the process of preparing the meat. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a delicious Halal brunch, you have to visit Albertchino Cafe!

I recently visited this charming cafe with an inviting ambiance that immediately made me feel at ease. The warm, cozy interior, complete with soft lighting and comfortable seating, created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. I couldn't resist trying their knafeh, and it exceeded my expectations. The knafeh was beautifully crafted, with a perfect balance of crispy and sweet, and the rich, creamy filling was simply heavenly. I also ordered the chicken roti wrap, and it was a delightful fusion of flavors.

I recently visited Albertchino, a charming cafe in South Melbourne, and it exceeded all my expectations! The owner, Amina, was incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding. The Chicken Bao was moist and tender, bursting with flavor. The Pulled Lamb Benedict was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. And the Knafeh French Toast had just the right amount of rose syrup and sugar, creating a delightful twist on a classic dish. I also appreciated the cafe's child-friendly ambiance and the variety of wraps and salads available for lunchtime workers. Overall, my experience at Albertchino was exceptional. Amina's hospitality, combined with the delicious food, made it truly memorable. I highly recommend Albertchino to anyone looking for an exceptional cafe experience in South Melbourne.

This cafe had halal food. The food was good but it wasn’t anything that stood out to us. Coffee was nice. The bao buns and eggs with Avocado were made well but not very flavorful. The service was amazing, which made it worth coming. Only thing about the place was that once the doors would be left open, pigeons would fly into the cafe and waddle into the kitchen area. The staff was efficient in getting them out but other precautions can be taken to keep them out.
